When I found out I was pregnant with my first, I began doing extensive research on all the baby must-haves. There are so many products on the market and it quickly became overwhelming. Clothing, strollers, car seats, cribs wow. Then I thought about all the products that you need to put on a baby’s skin: bath soap, diaper cream, lotion, etc. A product on a baby’s sensitive skin made me nervous. I wanted my child to have products that worked but I did not want a bunch of chemicals in the product. This is when I discovered Tubby Todd and quickly fell in love.
What does it mean to be “safe for sensitive skin”?
While so many baby products on the shelves say “safe for sensitive skin” or “dermatologist recommended” what does that mean? Shouldn’t all products be safe for your skin if you are expected to apply them to your skin? I quickly found that not all products are the same in quality or safety.
Why do babies get rashes so easily?
At around 6 weeks old my son, Caleb, developed dry patch skin and loads of baby acne. While this is fairly common and normal, I did not want him to be uncomfortable and had fear that this could lead to eczema. I had read up on Tubby Todd’s All Over Ointment and trusted that the product was safe for his sensitive facial skin. I also had read the reviews and testimonials. This stuff was MAGIC. Seriously….magic. Caleb’s skin became less blotchy, less dry, and the acne started to clear. He is now 20 months old and we have been through 3 tubs of the stuff. It is the only thing that clears up the dreaded drool rash or new dry patches on his skin.

My Favorite Tubby Todd Products
All Over Ointment– This is my number 1 favorite baby product. I seriously buy this for all new mom’s because I do not know where I would be without it. In my experience, it has cleared up my son’s baby acne, dry patches, and drool rashes.
Hair & Body Wash– I was given a Tubby Todd wash and 2 other baby shampoo/body washes during my baby showers. One was a calming lavender wash and the other was a comforting oatmilk wash. I have since used all three and without a doubt, Tubby Todd is my favorite. It makes my son’s hair so much more fluffy and I feel comfortable using it based on the ingredients included.
Bubble Bath– Tubby Todd sent this to me as a gift. I started using it when my son was 19months old. I would say that this is more of a fun product than anything. Definitely not a must but now every bath time my son is begging for a bubble bath and just has so much fun.
Mineral Sunscreen– Once your child turns 6 months, it is safe to begin using sunscreen (according to the American Academy of Pediatrics). This is the sunscreen we have used. It works well and after rubbing it in, it loses the white film that initially is there.
Sweet Cheeks Diaper Paste– This is on my wish list for my second child (arriving in a few months). The brand of diaper cream I used for my first son (Saje) is no longer available. While I have not yet used this product, I am excited to try it and feel like I will love it just given how much I have taken to all of their other products.
Everyday Lotion– We have used this after bath time since my son was born. I will say I noticed the biggest difference once my son was over 12 months and his skin began to get more dry (probably due to all the playing and moving around). I put this on him after each bath all over his body. For the extra dry patches, I use the All Over Ointment.
Belly Oil– This is for mama. I have recently started using this for my second pregnancy. During my first pregnancy, as my belly began to grow I got extremely itchy. This time, I have been using this oil each night before bed and have not had any itchy skin. I am so grateful that I found this product.
Common Question
What can I put on my baby’s irritated skin?
